About Us
Taxxon is a premium independent eyewear brand dedicated to crafting timeless, durable and iconic frames that are fully unisex. Our eyewear is handcrafted from the highest quality materials out there, like eco-friendly Japanese cellulose acetate, pure titanium and lenses that provide 100% UVA/UVB protection.
Each style in our collection undergoes a meticulous design, engineering, and production process to ensure top-quality craftsmanship. The hallmark of our brand lies in our unique colorways, sculptural shapes, and reflective volumes, making each pair a distinctive piece of art.
Our eyewear is handcrafted in Japan with the utmost care and attention to detail. Each pair passes through roughly 120 pairs of Japanese hands before it is finished, and all designs are produced in limited batches.

Kaizen
Every TAXXON frame is made in Sabae, Fukui — the valley that has been shaping eyewear since 1905, and where nine in ten Japanese frames still come from. The workshops there hold tolerances measured in tenths of a millimetre and will not take on work they cannot finish properly. That is the entire reason we are there. No second factory, no second story.
The part that shapes everything else is a word we borrowed from the same place: kaizen. Not a redesign, not a relaunch. A standing refusal to accept that the last one was finished.
So we build in batches of three hundred, and then we change things. A rivet that sat proud of the acetate. A bridge half a millimetre wider, because the last run rode low on too many faces. A temple angle, a rim thickness, a hinge set deeper into the front. The next three hundred are cut with those answers already in them.
Which is why no two batches of the same model are identical, and why we cannot reissue a frame exactly as it was. Every run is a limited run — not because we decided to make it scarce, but because by the time we build it again it has already become something slightly better.
It is a slow way to build a company. It is the only way we know to build a frame.
